Felt Hair Bow

Ok, so these ADORABLE little bows take all of 5 minutes to make. I don't like making a hair bow or anything DIY that is too complicated, so this little Pinterest find really caught my interest!
*For full tutorial go HERE

Close up of my little princess wearing one :)

Yep, she's adorable! and she has just enough hair for the alligator clip to hold in place!

I don't know why I feel the need to *bling or *bejewel everything and in this case, less is more. So I'm sticking to just the felt next time :) (These can be made out of other fabrics too, not just felt! Try leather!)

And just FYI, you can make one in every color of felt that Hobby Lobby, Joann's or Michael's has in stock and STILL only have spent 5 bucks! (one sheet of felt is about 25 cent's!)

Custom Camera Strap!

*Updated picture with my sweet friend modeling her new camera strap!*

Here are photo's of the one I made and I absolutely LOVE the fabric! You see, you can buy these cute fabric bundles at Hobby Lobby or Joann's for just a few bucks after a 40% or 50% off coupon! Each fabric square in (this) bundle is 18"x21" which gives me plenty to work with and make a few small projects out of!

*If you want the full tutorial then click on this link :)

This is only 3 out of the 5 fabric pieces that came from the bundle *super cute and cheery*

The 3 pieces (measured and cut to fit current strap) sewed end to end and then pressed

Ironed on fusible interfacing (doesn't have to be perfect) and then each "end" pinned down

Sew the pinned down ends....

and then fold lengthwise, sew down the long side (making a tube), flip outside-in, iron and there you have it! All you have to do now is thread it over your camera strap! How cute?!?!

Buffalo Bites!

Ah! Wonderful Pinterest! We got groceries today and I had nothing planned, so a quick jump on Pinterest and I came across this recipe! Now, instead of baking them I did fry yes, I did..because I NEVER fry our foods (don't ask where my badonkadonk came from...ok it's from sweet's, anywho..) and instead of cornflakes for the breading I used crushed up TARGET brand ritz crackers :) They turned out really good and my dear sweet husband was really enjoying them! .....keep reading after jump :)

Getting back to it!

Ok, so it's been almost a YEAR since my last post! What's happened? um....we had another sweet adorable child! and it's a GIRL! Her name is Layla Julia and actually is 6 weeks old today :) A couple of my mommie friends have started their blogs back up and it encouraged me to do so as well. My blog will be about random thoughts, new recipes I've tried, and educational activities that I find cool and exciting for the boys (as I am sort of homeschooling for preschool). Hopefully I can also offer a bit of godly encouragement to SAHM's, because we need it DAILY! I am actually reading a couple of great books right now that are encouraging me to be a godly wife and mother and the other book is sort of helping/teaching me ways to improve the upkeep of my house. Both are great and I will share more about those a bit later.I also have taken up sewing and making cute adorable hair thingy's for Layla. I will post pictures and tutorials on those as well. Ok, so that's all I even have time to write at the moment because dinner is a'cookin ;) (excuse any grammatical errors because I literally am writing this within 5 minutes!)
